Finally, there would not be a need to download Android SDK or Studio, which are from 400MB to 1.6GB. Rather you would just need ADB and fastboot tool bundle is just the size of 6.94MB
Now ADB, fastboot, and other utilities are referred to as the Platform Tools package. So, download the SDK Platform Tools package from the official SDK website. This file is in zip format which is provided by Google itself.
Download the latest SDK platform-tools zip containing ADB and Fastboot binaries for Windows by going to under the heading Downloads and then click Download SDK Platform-Tools for Windows for your windows platform.
This will give you the ability to install APK, reboot your Android into the bootloader mode, flash stock ROM and recovery images using your Windows, Mac or Linux or Ubuntu computer.
After downloading platform-tools_r29.0.6-windows.zip, extract the contents of the .zip file on the desktop or to the drive where your Windows OS is installed. For example: extract the zip file in C drive like in C:\ProgramFiles\Android\platform-tools. Open the folder where you extracted and type “cmd” in the window address bar as shown in the below image and hit the Enter key or press the key Shift and right click then select Open Command Prompt here or click Open Power Shell Window here
This command will show you what devices are attached to your system:
If your command prompt isn’t open to the location where you extracted the Platform Tools then, you would have to type:c:\programfiles\android\platform-tools.\adb.exe devices
To avoid this every time you want to mod your phone, you need to change the PATH variable. This change will allow you to run ADB and fastboot commands no matter which folder you’re in.
